THE WOMAN

Karina is the third of four kids in her family, which means there was always someone in the house to get into trouble with growing up. She and her siblings continue to have a close relationship and she loves being the fun "tia" to her six nieces and nephews. Karina played almost every sport at one point or another during her youth (she still brags about the bronze medal she got in a national skiing competition when she was 8 years old) and continues to love being active and outdoors.

Karina fell in love with the outdoors while living in beautiful Santa Barbara, where she lived for many years. She recently relocated to a small town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, where she is close to countless hiking trails, secluded campsites, and Yosemite National Park. She spends her weekends at home tackling home renovation projects (the list of projects is endless!) and tending to her vegetable garden. She loves to cook and bake. Her partner Matthew and two dogs (Ernest Hemingway and Francis Scott Fitzgerald) don't mind serving as her official taste-testers.

When she isn't working, you can usually find Karina off on an adventure- traveling, hiking, scuba diving, backpacking, bicycle riding, or camping. Karina has climbed 2 of the 7 summits (the tallest mountains on each continent) and looks forward to climbing many more mountains in the years to come. She has also hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, walked from Portugal to Spain along a section of the Camino de Santiago, traversed Santa Catalina Island via the Trans-Catalina Trail, backpacked the Lost Coast Trail along the rugged coastline of Northern California, and hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon in a heat wave and back up to the rim in a hail storm. Basically, she loves a challenge! Karina is passionate about photography and loves to document her adventures. She particularly enjoys outdoor/adventure and landscape photography.

Karina lives by the words of Jack Kerouac:

& Don't be Sorry
